Our founder, Chaz DeRocher, started mowing lawns at 14 years old with nothing but a push mower, a dream, and a work ethic shaped by hardworking parents and small-town grit. Raised in a family that juggled multiple jobs, he learned early that nothing comes easy; and everything worth doing is worth doing well.

After years of hands-on experience, a life-changing injury, and an unstoppable drive, Chaz launched DeRocher’s Lawn Salon right here in Kansas City. With support from his fiancée Katie, who now leads as our Director of Operations, the business reflects everything they stand for: quality work, honest communication, and lasting results.

We’re not a big franchise, and we don’t aim to be. We’re a local, family-run business focused on crisp finishes, long-term lawn health, and reliable service you can count on.
